About the League

Why World Robot League?

World Robot League 2027 is held together with RoboRAVE Korea Open 2027 — one festival, two leagues, open to elementary, middle and high school students and general participants.

Humanoid Battle

Bipedal humanoid robots duel in the ring across five weight classes. Knockdowns and ring-outs decide the champion.

From Korea to the World

Since 2018, IREA — the International Robotics Educational Association, organizer of the World Robot League — has run robotics competitions and workshops with young challengers across Asia.

2018

IREA Founded

The International Robotics Educational Association begins operating robotics competitions and robotics/coding workshops at home and abroad.

2019

Langkawi, Malaysia

The journey begins with the international Robot Bowling competition.

2023

Putrajaya, Malaysia

International competition in Malaysia's administrative capital.

2024

Bangkok, Thailand

The league expands to Thailand.

2025

WRL 2025 · Goyang, Korea

Teams from Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and China competed over three days in Goyang.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The international series continues in Vietnam.

WRL Festival 2026 · Suwon, Korea

A three-day festival (Jan 16–18) of soccer, humanoid battles, line challenges and more.

Future Forge : WRL 2026 · Selangor, Malaysia

Future Forge : World Robot League 2026 — the international series returns to Malaysia, in Selangor.

RoboRAVE Korea Launched

RoboRAVE Korea launches as the official Korean operator and national-team selector for RoboRAVE — its first official event drew 96 teams and 128 participants across 7 events.

WRL 2027 with RoboRAVE Korea Open

The two leagues join forces for the first combined festival in Korea — 8 events, 23 divisions.

A Truly Global League

International teams are expected from across Asia and beyond, with 100–150 overseas participants anticipated. An English rulebook, registration page and invitation letters for visa support will be provided.
